CSUSB Einstein Bagels & Campus Market | San Bernardino, CA
Situated on the first floor of the five-story College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Einstein Bros. Bagels eatery and Coyote Market Convenience Store have been reimagined as a sophisticated social destination at the heart of campus life. The project transforms former computer labs and introduces a thoughtfully integrated first-floor addition to create a refined 2,600 square-foot dining and market environment within an academic setting.
The architectural design and engineering were carefully developed to harmonize with the existing building, ensuring a seamless integration of structure, scale, and materiality. Exterior improvements respect the original architectural language, with finish systems meticulously matched to surrounding façades for a cohesive and timeless campus presence.
Inside, the space unfolds as a modern, light-filled interior defined by clean lines, vibrant yet curated furnishings, and contemporary lighting. Advanced technology and flexible seating arrangements support both casual dining and collaborative gathering, elevating the everyday student experience. The result is a welcoming yet polished environment that blends functionality with design sophistication—serving as a dynamic centerpiece for student engagement throughout the day.
