The remodel of the Starbucks at Cal Poly Pomona’s Main Library reimagines a high-traffic campus destination through the lens of Starbucks’ latest corporate design standards. Strategically located at the heart of the university, the project balances brand consistency with a contextual response to campus life, creating an inviting environment for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
Generous outdoor seating anchors the café within a vibrant pedestrian zone, strengthening its connection to the surrounding academic core while supporting high-volume daily use. The thoughtful integration of updated materials, finishes, and spatial planning enhances both customer experience and operational efficiency. As a result, this location has emerged as the highest-grossing Starbucks on any Southern California college campus.
